Assuming you have everything listed in the main page (launcher, KLWP Pro, Makani), you can begin the setup.
Set your wallpaper to KLWP (typically by holding down on an empty space)
Remove any icons and widgets that are on your screen
Tap the hamburger menu, then 'Load Preset'. From there, you can tap 'Import' and browse to the Makani setup file.
As of June 13 2025, this file will be called
Makani_Early_Access.klwp
If you prefer a different wallpaper (or the wallpaper is absent), tap 'Background', then 'Pick Image' to pick your own wallpaper.
You can also customize other aspects of Makani, if desired
You can change the wallpaper by tapping the Background tab, then tapping 'Pick Image'
This changes the colour of the glass UI in Makani.
You can change the apps that show up in Makani's dock.
Apps 1-4 show up in left-right order, tap on the item in the list to modify
You can change an icon by tapping 'Image', then 'Pick Image'
Labels can be changed by tapping 'Text', which gives you access to the textbox
By default, 'App 1' will have the label 'Phone', so tap on that to change the text
To change the app entirely, navigate to the Touch menu, then tap 'Launch App'. From there, you can change what app it will launch when tapping on the icon.
If you want to hide any location info (perhaps to share your setup), you can turn this global variable on to set your location label to 'City, State'
If you would like to hide the Makani logo on the lock screen, you can do so by enabling the 'lcksmall' global.
If you want to set different placeholder images when you aren't playing music/have no notifications, you can change them using this global variable
