Makani is a study of the design language manufacturers settled on during the late 2000s/early 2010s tech innovation boom. For a company such as Apple, the philosophy behind a skeuomorphic interface was to make a novel device feel more familiar to handle. While my aim for Makani isn't to make its design functional in a similar sense, it still attempts to be more eye-friendly, incorporating visuals that are more natural looking compared to the flat design we have in the modern world.Or you could just consider this to be a nostalgia project. You wouldn't be wrong.
